Ask4 to deliver fibre broadband services to student properties

Liberty Living has signed up Ask4 as its exclusive internet service provider.

Ask4 has secured an exclusive deal to roll out fibre optic broadband services across Liberty Living's student accommodation portfolio.

Liberty is part of the Brandeaux Student Accommodation Fund, which owns and operates properties comprising around 16,000 student rooms in 17 university towns and cities.

Under the agreement, Ask4 will provide a super-fast broadband network to the company's 41 residences, having delivered internet services to two-thirds of Liberty's properties for the last five years.

The multimillion-pound deal will see Ask4 become the first provider to exclusively serve Liberty's tenants.

Jonathan Burrows, managing director of the communications firm, said: "Liberty Living and Ask4 have a very similar ethos and are focused on delivering fantastic service to all student customers - which we believe is reflected in our ongoing partnership."

The news comes in the same week that Ask4 revealed it will open a new data centre in Sheffield's Lower Don Valley.

Other companies will use the data centre to safeguard their information and host IT services.
