Direct Paper Agents is the 100th firm to take advantage of a programme highlighting the benefits of fibre broadband for businesses.

Direct Paper Agents (DPA), a Blackpool-based family-run packaging business, has become the 100th small firm in its area to learn about how to get the most out of fibre optic broadband.

Superfast Lancashire has been educating companies about how to use the high-speed service, as well as providing them with advice on using social media platforms, digital marketing campaigns and managing customer relationships online.

DPA has embraced its new fibre broadband connection, with Managing Director Chris Maine saying it has marked a new chapter for the firm.

Tony Morgan, Head of Engagement at Superfast Lancashire, said: "The experience of DPA is typical of many of the local firms who go through the programme."

He added the firm acts as an example to other traditional companies who may be unsure of the benefits of high-speed fibre broadband.

Superfast Lancashire hopes to educate up to 335 businesses about the superfast service by the end of the year.
