Bucks conference centre hails dedicated fibre broadband link

Thursday, May 30th 2013 by Paul France
Lane End Conference Centre is reaping the benefits of its dedicated super-fast broadband connection.

Bosses at a Buckinghamshire conference centre have praised a fibre optic broadband connection installed at the facility last year, claiming it has helped them keep up with the latest online trends.

Since implementing the link, Lane End Conference Centre has been able to guarantee delegates next-generation internet access, with Grade A+ connectivity that is faster than 99 per cent of broadband services in the UK.

Furthermore, the centre offers up to 20Mbps Wi-Fi and bandwidth reserved for conferencing requirements.

Mike Gough, Lane End's Operations Director, explained the company originally considered signing up for BT's 40Mbps Infinity fibre broadband product, but lack of availability in the area forced it to opt for a dedicated fibre optic link.

Lane End Sales and Marketing Manager Heni Fourie added: "This fibre optic link now gives us the opportunity to host UK-based conferences for up to 120 delegates in one of our conference meeting rooms and stream it to any number of locations."
