CityFibre and Businesscoms are set to join forces to bring fibre optic broadband to Peterborough businesses.

Businesscoms and CityFibre have announced they will be joining forces to bring high-speed fibre optic broadband to businesses across Peterborough.

CityFibre has recently invested in Peterborough CORE, a project that aims to bring superfast fibre broadband to the area, while Businesscoms has a reputation as a successful independent service provider.

News of the partnership comes after the launch of CityFibre's recent Gig Up campaign, which has seen 200 firms sign up to express their interest in gaining access to the high-speed broadband service within its first four weeks.

Greg Mesch, Chief Executive Officer of CityFibre, said: "The success of the Gig Up campaign in the city demonstrates the considerable interest that organisations have in using fibre to help them build their businesses."

Working together, Businesscoms and CityFibre will be able to provide approximately 500 local firms with connections to broadband speeds of up to 1,000Mbps to help improve their productivity by making downloads and loading pages much faster than before.
