Craven firms to learn about fibre broadband benefits

Superfast North Yorkshire is giving Craven businesses the chance to learn about the benefits of fibre broadband.

Businesses based in Craven are being given the opportunity to learn about how a superfast fibre optic broadband connection can enhance their performance.

The Superfast North Yorkshire rollout programme is hosting a series of free workshops to enable local firms to understand the benefits of such a connection.

Settle will be the location for the next workshop, set to take place tomorrow (10 June 2014) at the Royal Oak Hotel, the Craven Herald reports.

The day's itinerary will feature sessions on social media marketing, enhancing a company website and other digital business solutions.

One firm to have already taken advantage of the free workshops is ecological organisation PBA Applied Ecology, with Secretary Elizabeth Judson stating: "We found the support from Superfast North Yorkshire really useful in helping us to assess our website and raising our awareness of social media. Our business has expanded and we have employed a new member of staff."

PBA Applied Ecology was able to increase its recruitment after securing a small business grant to use towards the development of its website - all thanks to the company's positive experience at the broadband masterclass.
