The internet service provider is working with BT to ensure as many people as possible benefit from the super-fast broadband rollout.

Eclipse Internet's director has said the telecoms firm is working hand in hand with BT to ensure a large number of customers can get access to fibre optic broadband.

Clodagh Murphy claimed the level of consumer desire for the technology is sky-high, commenting: "We only have to mention super-fast fibre broadband to see the demand from our customers."

As a result, Eclipse is operating alongside BT to ensure that the rollout of the service benefits as many of its subscribers as possible, she explained.

Ms Murphy went on to state the company has launched an availability map to allow consumers to find out when their area will be connected to fibre broadband.

The display shows telephone exchanges that have already been hooked up to the technology, as well as those that will be upgraded within the next three, six and 12 months.

"A lot of customers want to know when it will be available in their area," Ms Murphy said.
