Nick Thompson of KC has praised the company's super-fast broadband rollout.

KC's director of consumer markets Nick Thompson has hailed the east Yorkshire internet service provider's fibre optic broadband rollout as "ambitious and special".

The company is rolling out super-fast broadband to 15,000 homes and businesses across the region by the end of the year, with over 2,000 customers already signed up to the service.

Kingswood in Hull is the latest location to be included in the deployment, with installations commencing in the area this week. Driffield and Woodmansey are among the other communities to have been connected to the service.

Mr Thompson said the ISP is eager to ensure that its customers have the best-connected properties in the country, which is why KC recently launched its Lightstream 350 product, offering downstream speeds of up to 350Mbps.

"In doing this, we also have a chance to put our region on the map for all the right reasons, as a place where businesses can operate efficiently," he added.
