The rollout of new superfast connectivity in Perthshire will be witnessed in the months ahead.

Homes and businesses across Perthshire are set to benefit from improved access to next-generation broadband services following the announcement of a significant investment in the area.

Community Broadband Scotland (CBS) has unveiled a £58,500 project that will focus on broadband network improvements for communities in the Tay Forest Park are - Amulree, Trochry and Struan - over the coming months.

It will aim to deliver download speeds of up to 20 Mbps once the network is completed, with the project the culmination of the hard work of a host of local community volunteers.

CBS representative Shaun Marley commented: "Better broadband will create new opportunities and benefits and allow people to choose to live, work and learn in what is a beautiful part of the Perthshire countryside."

He added that the work will allow businesses in the area to flourish and ensure the county is not left behind in the race to deliver superfast connectivity across the UK.
