Scottish town 'angry at lack of broadband'

The residents of Moss of Cruden in Aberdeenshire are frustrated at a lack of broadband connectivity in their area.

The residents of Moss of Cruden in north-east Scotland have revealed their frustration at the lack of progress in the delivery of improved access to broadband connectivity in the local area.

As a result, the Ellon Times reports the Moss of Cruden Community Association (MOCCA) has now been in contact with Community Broadband Scotland to consider options to deliver improved services in the area in the months ahead.

At present, many residents are struggling to receive download speeds of 2 Mbps.

Vice-chairman of the community council Michele Emslie told the news provider: "Residents are very angry as they are unable to get access to broadband and many more residents are so angry and frustrated with the constant slow and unreliable broadband that they presently have."

She added that MOCCA will now be approaching a range of other bodies to ascertain the potential for alternative broadband installation works for the area in the months ahead.
