Springwatch broadband boost for Hinton Lodge

Hinton Lodge residents are benefiting from the launch of wireless broadband services.

A Suffolk town has benefited from the delivery of improved broadband infrastructure ahead of its neighbours due to the arrival of the BBC's Springwatch team.

Hinton Lodge residents are now able to connect to download speeds of up to 50 Mbps - far greater speeds than in surrounding communities - after wireless broadband provider Rade Systems set up new wireless internet access to boost data transfer rates in the area.

The company worked alongside the Springwatch team to install improved connectivity to help make the remote filming of wildlife in the area that much easier.

It marks the first rollout for superfast broadband in the county and is in advance of improved services that are soon to be delivered as part of the ongoing Better Broadband for Suffolk campaign.

Jake Barton from Rade Systems said: "We have people who need broadband for their business or whose children need broadband to be able to do their homework. We can provide a good service now."
