Steve Horrocks from Lancashire says he is 'exceedingly happy' with his fibre broadband connection.

A Lancashire resident has praised the work of his local superfast fibre broadband rollout programme, enthusing about its benefits.

In its spring newsletter, Superfast Lancashire reports Belthorn resident Steve Horrocks has been enjoying the many benefits of the high-speed technology since gaining a connection in his home thanks to the rollout project.

Mr Horrocks is based in one of the county's more rural areas, previously experiencing a poor internet connection.

However, he has now said: "I am exceedingly happy. Superfast broadband brings a rural location into the 21st century … Fibre is a pleasure to use."

Now he has access to the technology, Mr Horrocks can keep in touch with family and friends much easier than before, while enjoying loading speeds of up to 38Mbps.

He can also download videos significantly more efficiently than when he had a slower internet connection, as well as being able to upload and share photos to a higher standard.

Fibre broadband has given Mr Horrocks greater peace of mind about his online activities too, with him stating: "I don't worry about losing the connection anymore."
