Hyperoptic to roll out FTTH broadband in September

The provider will offer speeds of up to 1Gbps.

Hyperoptic has unveiled plans to launch a fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) broadband service in the coming months.

The start-up telecoms firm revealed the fibre broadband product, which is set to offer speeds of up to 1Gbps, will be rolled out to commercial and residential customers in September.

As well as high-speed internet access, Hyperoptic will support internet protocol TV and voice over internet protocol telephony as part of its package range.

Although it has yet to unveil the pricing of the fibre broadband service, the company has revealed it intends to offer three separate products with speeds of up to 20Mbps, 100Mbps and 1Gbps.

Boris Ivanovic, co-founder of Hyperoptic, has claimed the firm will make the term 'connection speeds up to' redundant, as it will allow customers to choose the capacity they require.

"We want to open people's minds to the future beyond broadband and enable them to connect, explore and be satisfied - our technology will not disappoint," he added.
