A managed IT and telecoms services provider in Dorset has switched to fibre optic broadband thanks to CityFibre.

Dorset-based managed IT and telecoms services provider Modrus has switched to fibre optic broadband.

The firm is now using a network connection provided by CityFibre as part of an effort to speed up its processes and improve the quality of its customer service.

This will link Modrus's existing main operating centre and head office in Bournemouth with its three London-based data centres.

Edward Armitage, Director at Modrus, commented: "The new CityFibre high-capacity, high-speed fibre link has important business benefits for us because of its impact on the rate at which the team can work."

Rob Hamlin, Director of Business Development at CityFibre, stated that the new infrastructure gives Modrus the "long-term, high-capacity primary link" it needs in order to manage growth over the coming years.

He went on to note that CityFibre has put lots of money into rolling out fibre technology in the Bournemouth area, adding that he is delighted to see more and more firms are benefiting from the growing network.
