Keycom chooses dark fibre solution from CityFibre

Keycom is partnering with CityFibre to deliver unrestricted speeds to customers.

High-speed broadband provider Keycom will be able to deliver unrestricted connectivity and rapid deployment thanks to a new tie-up with fibre infrastructure firm CityFibre.

Keycom specialises in supplying fast broadband to accommodation for students, housing association tenants, key workers and members of the armed forces.

It has chosen a dark fibre connection from CityFibre, giving it complete control and flexibility over its bandwidth, while also enabling speeds to be increased over time to meet customer demand.

CityFibre is using a pure fibre optic link to connect a student accommodation building in York to its new local point of presence.

Keycom's Chief Technology Officer James Blessing said the solution is ideal for the company's needs, allowing it to hook up new buildings as necessary and deliver services faster.

Rob Hamlin, Head of Business Development at CityFibre, added: "Keycom has recognised the business benefits of utilising pure fibre infrastructure, which will enable it to deliver an outstanding high-speed internet service to its customers."
