Ben Brooks of music production resource LS Live has hailed BT's super-fast broadband plans.

BT's decision to roll out fibre optic broadband in Hemsworth and South Elmsall has been welcomed by business leaders in the West Yorkshire towns.

More than 94,500 homes and businesses in Leeds and West Yorkshire have been included in the super-fast broadband deployment, which will be conducted throughout this year.

Some 19 communities across Yorkshire and the Humber are set to benefit from the project, meaning residents in some parts of the region can look forward to receiving download speeds of up to 300Mbps in the near future.

Ben Brooks, general manager of LS Live on Langthwaite Business Park, told the Hemsworth and South Elmsall Express that the development will help his firm to attract more customers.

The music production resource relies on a wide range of bandwidth-heavy technology, such as the ability to send large audio and video files.

"Faster broadband will make a massive difference to our company," Mr Brooks remarked.
