Gamma provides fibre broadband to The Sharp Project

Tenants at The Sharp Project can now take advantage of services from an additional broadband provider.

A new fibre optic broadband service is now available at The Sharp Project creative and digital production hub in Manchester.

Gamma, a communications business, has introduced high-speed internet and telephone connectivity at the complex, in addition to the existing super-fast broadband service delivered by the Cheshire-based NWIX Group.

Doubling the number of independent providers serving the site creates greater resilience for business tenants, The Sharp Project explained.

At present, Gamma carries approximately 13 per cent of all UK business voice traffic and also offers a range of super-fast broadband products.

Bob Falconer, the company's chief executive, said Gamma has significant network coverage and capacity in and around Manchester, and in some areas is the sole fibre optic broadband provider.

"We have therefore been able to provide high-capacity internet and voice services to specific locations and The Sharp Project is the first of these in the Manchester area," he added.

Situated just outside Manchester, the complex comprises a 200,000 sq ft building, 40 serviced offices and four production offices.
