Jelly entrepreneur boosted by fibre broadband

A jelly startup has been boosted by gaining a fibre broadband connection.

The Superfast North Yorkshire fibre broadband rollout programme has helped a local entrepreneur successfully launch his own business, Just Jelly.

Ryan Tindall is the owner of the jelly firm, which distributes its goods to restaurants, gift shops, pubs and delis throughout the county. He also has ambitions to supply jellies to leading supermarkets in the future, Bdaily reports.

To learn about how his startup company could be boosted, Mr Tindall signed up to a free programme run by Superfast North Yorkshire, which provided him with business advice and the chance to attend a masterclass to learn about the benefits of the high-speed technology.

Mr Tindall explained how beneficial a fibre broadband connection has been in helping him set up his business, stating: "These days if you want to set up on your own you have to be online because that is increasingly how people first find you and buy things from you."

He added that as he is one of the more rural parts of North Yorkshire, being able to access the superfast technology has changed the way he can use the internet, as before fibre broadband, he experienced slow loading speeds.
