Superfast broadband key to success for Hull firm

A computing firm from Hull has become an industry trailblazer after developing its own superfast broadband service.

Golding Computer Services was set up in 1981 and has been supplying local businesses in Humberside and beyond with essential IT solutions ever since.

But the company's Managing Director Vic Golding has spoken to KC about how the development of the the KC Lightstream next-generation broadband service has transformed the benefits the firm is able to offer its customers and employees.

He explained: "We have improved our ability to offer remote support to our IT clients, offering better quality equipment in the process - and we are able to reach more customers, further afield, with our training services."

KC Lightstream has been installed at exchanges throughout Humberside and provides the fastest fibre broadband speeds in the UK at 350Mbps.

There are currently 25,000 properties in the area that have access to the service, with 6,000 having already chosen to sign up.
