Lisa Ravenscroft of BT will speak at the Business Success in Berkshire 2012 show.

Senior BT spokesperson Lisa Ravenscroft is set to attend the Berkshire Media Group's Business Success in Berkshire 2012 show to discuss fibre optic broadband in the area.

The Thames Valley Berkshire Local Enterprise Partnership (TVB LEP) announced Ms Ravenscroft will discuss the telecoms giant's rollout plan for the county and give local firms information about how they can make a difference to current levels of connectivity.

In addition, she will explain how next-generation broadband access in Berkshire will create a more level playing field for small and medium-sized enterprises.

Ms Ravenscroft, who is head of fibre and value-added services at BT Business, will give real-life examples of ways that the technology has already transformed some firms.

"Having influential figures from renowned businesses and local government speaking at Business Success in Berkshire is really important for the event," said Steve Lamb, chairman of the TVB LEP.

Set to take place at the Madejski Stadium in Reading on September 25th, the show will also feature a talk from xRM Partners director Roland Moore on the benefits of cloud computing.
