Fibre broadband to arrive in Underriver

Residents in the village of Underriver will soon be able to enjoy the benefits of fibre broadband.

Residents and businesses based in the small village of Underriver will soon be able to enjoy the benefits of ultrafast fibre optic broadband.

The village - which is located close to Hildenborough in Kent - only has around 300 inhabitants, but the arrival of the high-speed internet service is expected to be warmly welcomed by all, the East Anglian Daily Times reports.

Ultrafast fibre broadband is coming to the village thanks to Gigaclear, with those based in the central Underriver, Wildernesse Estate, Blackhall Lane and Godden Green areas set to be among the first to benefit from faster internet speeds.

Broadband representatives from Gigaclear have been visiting properties in these locations throughout April and will continue to do so during May to discuss each home's connection point to the service.

Following the arrival of fast fibre broadband in these areas, phase two of the rollout programme will begin in May and will see those located in Stone Street, Ivy Hatch, Shipbourne and Bitchet Green connected.

It is hoped that all Underriver residents will have access to high-speed internet by the beginning of July.
