Hyperoptic appoints Head of Property to support FTTH rollout

Wednesday, June 26th 2013 by Paul France
David Walker has been unveiled as Hyperoptic's first Head of Property.

Hyperoptic has announced the appointment of its first Head of Property as the operator seeks to further expand the coverage of its fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) infrastructure across the country.

David Walker has joined the company from Pearl and Coutts, where he was Head of Commercial Lettings, while his previous experience includes working as a Partner at Alan Selby and Partners and serving on the board at MWB Business Exchange.

His role at Hyperoptic will be to further the fibre optic broadband provider's property partnerships, as the company seeks to bring FTTH connectivity to more than 500,000 homes within the next five years.

Mr Walker said he is "excited" to join the company during such an important period of growth. "The fibre connection provided by Hyperoptic is the only real infrastructure solution for the 21st century," he commented.

Louis Armstrong, Non-Executive Director of Hyperoptic, added: "David's demonstrable experience of handling large-scale national projects is a perfect fit for Hyperoptic's plans."
