Hyperoptic works with property sector on FTTH rollouts

Hyperoptic is partnering with firms in the property sector to boost its FTTH coverage.

Fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) broadband provider Hyperoptic has explained it is working with the property sector to bring ultra-fast speeds direct to new developments.

The company has so far signed up more than 30 significant residential properties across London, bringing its 1Gbps fibre optic broadband solution to each.

In addition, Hyperoptic has formalised contracts with a string of additional property organisations to provide a further boost to the rollout of gigabit broadband speeds in the capital.

One of these agreements is with Stonedale, part of the Peveral Group, which manages a string of residential developments across London.

Felix Keen, head of Stonedale, said fast broadband access is now more than a "nicety".

"It's a necessity for our residents," he remarked. "This deal means they are getting the fastest residential broadband in the UK without having to worry about a slow connection."

By the end of this year, Hyperoptic is aiming to extend its FTTH network coverage to 20,000 homes and 100 major property developments.
