The promotion shows how BT Infinity can help people do more online.

BT's new advert for its Infinity fibre optic broadband product illustrates how super-fast speeds can help subscribers to make the most of their internet connections.

The telecoms giant claimed the service, which offers download speeds of up to 40Mbps, allows customers to do more online, whether they are shopping, downloading music, playing games or watching videos.

In the ad, BT demonstrates how the technology enables people to share photos and video content with their friends and family members at "unbeatable speeds".

BT Infinity offers the opportunity for subscribers to "get the edge with super-responsive online gaming, enjoy a truly amazing shopping experience or even download an entire album in seconds", the internet service provider stated.

The new promotion has been launched shortly after BT revealed its fibre broadband product enjoyed a surge in uptake during the three months to June 30th 2011.

Some 71,000 households signed up throughout the quarter, taking the total customer base to more than 200,000.
