CityFibre's Gigler shortlisted for NextGen 13 award

Fibre broadband provider Gigler is up for a NextGen13 award.

Fibre optic infrastructure provider CityFibre is in the running for a NextGen 13 award, having been shortlisted in the Fixed Urban Networks category.

The company's internet service provider arm, Gigler, has been entered into the awards thanks to its 'gigabit for all' approach to the delivery of business and consumer broadband.

Described by CityFibre as the UK's "flagship true fibre service", Gigler delivers ultrafast connectivity to 21,000 properties in Bournemouth via its fibre-to-the-premises network.

All customers can enjoy download speeds of up to 1Gbps, around 100 times the national average, as well as uploads of up to 500Mbps.

The internet service provider's pricing model is based on usage rather than speed, which means subscribers looking for a cheaper deal do not need to settle for poorer performance.

Greg Mesch, Chief Executive at CityFibre, said: "We are very proud that Gigler is a shortlisted finalist for a NextGen 13 award.

"The choice reflects Gigler's revolutionary offering, which provides both residents and businesses with affordable gigabit speeds."
