Digital Region is set to take part in NextGen 11 and a get-together at Barnsley's Digital Media Centre.

South Yorkshire fibre optic broadband network operator Digital Region has announced its involvement in two upcoming industry events.

Jeremy Sheehan, the organisation's head of sales and marketing, is set to talk about its super-fast broadband infrastructure at an expo hosted by Barnsley's Digital Media Centre on November 9th 2011.

Organised by the Barnsley and Rotherham Chamber of Commerce, this is designed as a free networking opportunity for businesses.

The following week, Digital Region is set to stage a workshop at NextGen 2011, described as the country's premier showcase for digital infrastructure, which will take place in Bristol on November 16th and 17th.

Director of the NextGen conference Marit Hendriks announced earlier this month that the expo will also be attended by the likes of Arqiva, Thales and Fujitsu.

"This year's NextGen has a stronger global input with high-profile speakers ... but we also provide a platform for the deployment industry and the local leaders who are driving action on the ground," he explained.
