The NextGen 12 Roadshow will take place in Milton Keynes on May 30th.

Fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) broadband technology will be one of the issues to be discussed at the NextGen 12 Roadshow, which is set to take place in Milton Keynes this month.

The event will be held at MK Dons Stadium on May 30th 2012 and will include presentations from the likes of FTTH Council Europe, Broadband Delivery UK, BT and Broadband for the Rural North.

Feliksas Dobrovolskis, director of the communications regulatory authority of the Republic of Lithuania, will tell attendees about the progress made by the country on rolling out FTTH broadband services.

Event director Marit Hendriks said: "Many of the [UK's] most inspirational companies are based within the Milton Keynes area.

"We want to shine a spotlight on this area to encourage key influencers and actors to take action."

Last month, BT claimed a UK first after installing an FTTH connection to multiple office units at Acorn House in Milton Keynes, allowing customers in the building to utilise services such as running several cloud applications simultaneously.
