Gigler offers free FTTH broadband to Bournemouth charity

Thursday, July 18th 2013 by Paul France
Charity LV=Streetwise has been connected to gigabit broadband.

LV=Streetwise, a Bournemouth-based safety education charity, has become the latest organisation to take advantage of ultra-fast broadband speeds offered by CityFibre's fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) network.

The service is being delivered by Gigler, CityFibre's provider arm, and allows customers to enjoy speeds of up to 100 times the UK average.

As part of its ongoing commitment to help the Bournemouth community and transform it into a 'gigabit city', CityFibre has agreed to provide the service to LV=Streetwise free of charge.

More than 21,000 properties - including a large number of local businesses - across the south coast town are able to access the FTTH proposition.

Alison Shelton, Manager at LV=Streetwise, said the charity is "delighted" at the support it has received from Gigler.

"Not only has the service enabled us to save crucial funds that we can invest back into the work that we do, but our work days have been improved beyond measure," she explained.
