Hyperoptic launches business fibre broadband in 12 towns and cities

Businesses in 12 key locations across the UK can now sign up for ultrafast fibre optic broadband from Hyperoptic.

Hyperoptic has begun offering its ultrafast fibre optic broadband services to businesses in 12 UK towns and cities.

The provider has launched three products aimed at small firms, business parks and home-based businesses – namely leased lines, shared leased lines and business broadband.

Outlining the differences between its own range and others on the market, Hyperoptic pointed out that its services are enabled via fibre-to-the-building, which means fibre optic cables are laid all the way from the exchange to the individual property.

This approach eliminates the weak link of copper phone lines, which can have a major negative impact on business performance through peak-time slowdowns and slower-than-advertised speeds.

Providing speeds of 100Mbps and above, the new Hyperoptic services are available in some of the UK's biggest urban areas, including Birmingham, Cardiff, Glasgow, Greater London and Manchester.

Darren Shenkin, Director of Business Development at Hyperoptic, said: "Put simply, downtime costs businesses money – in terms of lost sales and staff productivity.

"The beauty of our true fibre approach is that we can offer businesses a service that they can truly depend on, and use to grow their company."
