Superfast broadband connectivity has been delivered for the residents of Pocklington.

The benefits of superfast broadband are being highlighted to the residents of Pocklington, as new next-generation services are being rolled out in their area.

A partnership between East Riding Council and BT is now in the process of delivering improved broadband connectivity to up to 4,000 homes and businesses in the town, the Pocklington Post reports.

Once complete, the scheme aims to deliver download speeds of up to 80 Mbps for consumers.

BT Regional Director for Yorkshire and the Humber Tom Keeney commented: "Already millions of UK households and businesses are benefiting from the huge opportunities offered by fibre broadband with many more joining them every month."

He added that the rollout of new superfast services in Pocklington will ensure the local community can access the most up-to-date broadband networks - something the whole of the region will eventually enjoy in the months and years ahead.
